The Silhouette Zoo (TSZ) are a North-Yorkshire based band. Coming from the remote towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and the smaller village of Hutton-le-Hole. TSZ have played at many of York's leading venues including The Junction, Fibbers and the Grand Opera-House, where they won the 'Best of the Bands' competition in May of last year coming away with 'best presented band' and the overall prize of 'best/most up and coming band of 2007.' Recently TSZ have recorded their EP 'Under Puppet Tree' which will be released within the next few weeks. (Although for a sneak preview go to their myspace page at www.myspace.com/the silhouettezoo and listen to the EP tracks online.) TSZ attempt to bring the tradition of folk rock back onto the modern music scene. Putting together a unique sound with instruments ranging from the accordion to a fretless bass. With extravagant melodies, spine chilling build ups and energetic live performances TSZ really do put on an entertaining show and are not a band to miss.
