Oh whaaat, an 'e-mail' audition, now why didn't i think of that?! lol.
And it's a bit late to be saying it now, but im gonna anyways; did anyone else reckon that the casting directors etc had seriously underestimated the sheer amount of people that would turn up for the london open auditions, and consequently started sending larger groups in, cutting down the audition time/length, and giving less tasks making it increasingly hard to get noticed as the day went on? People have been mentioning 'getting through to the scipted task' at the Bristol auditions but there wasn't even a sniff of that in London, you had your 15 seconds to shine, with 4 other people trying to shine simultaneously and that was it.
Also that the numbering system meant that people who had only been there for 5minutes could be leaving the first hall at the same time as people who had been there for a couple of hours, so it wasn't even really a case of getting there earlier.
Anyhows, those who got through must have deserved it, and good luck to all of those left in the running. i'll be looking forward to the chance to audition for that speaking part.
Erm, well it obvs helps to have a good memory for it in the first place, but i dno.
It definitely helps to be saying them without looking at the script as soon as possible, so try it without the script even when you dont think you know them, and look only when you get stuck.
remember the lines in little blocks, and learn each block at a time.
also try and put actions to lines, like imagine what you'd be doing as you say them, and remember them as a pair so if you forget one the other might trigger the memory.
i don't suggest you try to do all of these.

Erm, so what do people think is the best thing to do as a last ditch effort to get some notice, for somebody who went to the london auditions (from near Coventry i might add for all those people having a whinge that if you live outside of london or bristol you dont have a chance), received positive feedback etc, had details taken and hope given (albeit false) but hasn't received a callback or anything since? And what do you reckon is the possibility of getting into a skins party underage lol (its a pain in the anus coz birmingham is on the 15th, and im 18 on the 22nd!)

Aha, it was no attempt to own you im not gona pretend to be Mr.Diction, that just happens to be one of a few words i DO know, and im quite pedantic lol. I know what you mean about showing off in english too; twin that with an uncomprehensible ability to ignore deadlines and you have a recipe for me leaving sixth form before completing my A2's :( (hence why i'd be perfect for skins lol, no other commitments now, plus it reflects one of the old story lines). what you reckon to my question below?

rachaelll, i dont reckon theres gona be any auditions on the 30th of june, the only reason that date was listed was in regards to the age of auditionees. i do however hope there will be some more auditions somewhere at sometime.
oh shite! i have a missed call from a withheld number, yesterday at 18:25!! what if?! WHAT IF?! Is it too late to still be hoping for a call now? im full on bricking my knickers/cacking my kegs (your preference)over this.
