Chlo/em, if that's true then it's possible that they're considering whether individuals that applied for main parts can act parts that are more then extras. If so, it'd make more sense for them to cast all the characters first before calling back and informing you of rejection.
Hey Dannyboy, yeah ahh I asked after the i had done the second audition, it's the same situation as the Open auditions. If they're looking for your involvement further on, they'll call you around 2 weeks from your second audition.
When i went to the call back, there were hardly any people there from open auditions. Jaw-dropping that I was the only one from the london audition thing, but everyone else had agents and were reffered via there agencies.
I get what you're saying branwen, however you've got to take into consideration that holding audition venues all over the UK would cost skins a fortune. It's evident that they'd tour the whole UK for new talent if a) it was cheap and b) they've the time, however both circumstances aren't in their favour. I'm sure if you had a budget and a timeframe for holding open auditions, you'd go for the same locations as London and Bristol are well known and frequently accessed parts of Britain.
